Ok.. so some of you know that I have more or less hung up my Theme/Web designer hat in recent times to follow my passion for cake.... mmm cake.. Anyway, I have been attending Culinary School since Feb 2012, and have just recently finished the first Semester and Courses.. it was great fun, and I will post up the story of it and a heap of pics on my blog http://www.yumcakes.com.au when I get it organised ! But.. I thought I would show you a few of my recent Art Cakes for different commissions etc... This is one of three cake I made this last weekend, for birthdays, two on commission, this one for my hubby... Another birthday cake... This one was for a Cake Decorating Competion at my College, which I am delighted to say... I WON! The theme was National Year of Reading, so it had to be book or reading related All in all it has been a huge blast, and I am really loving it, even if I miss some of my online friends... sorry guys!
hehehe, I have wanted to make a sushi cake for ages, I might do that Shame it won't ship well though....
Sorry 'bout that If we lived closer together one would have been yours! I should have hand painted the sides, but I ran out of time to do so, hence the cut and paste job My Dad loved it, didn't want to cut it!
Oh no one eats that anyway The sushi and other little bits were actually marzipan, which he adores, so everyone picked off the fondant and it got chucked... as mostly happens.. but it is still the best for decorating or painting on!
